Who is Two Dash?

 The Name

It all started one night in Hoki. The Two Dash crews wallets were feeling full and it was time for us to get on form! Handy with a can of orange spray paint and a touch of roof climbing we were feeling full of creativity......

Life is Two Dash.

How we met

Three years ago we all had something in common, a yes from Dave Richie to come to Tai Poutini Polytechnic on the West Coast of New Zealand. Baby faced and excited to break free from our mothers arms, we set off on our first adventure together, completing a Diploma in Instruction and Guiding in the wet roaring forties.

When I look back I think our first trip together set the tone for our adventures. A five hour walk in loaded with 5 days’ of food for grade two paddling. You can’t say we weren't keen. As the two years went on, our adventures got harder, the stories got better and a bond was formed that would keep us together through the ugly. Multiple heli flights, 'walk ins' with kayaks and a miss adventure sea kayaking in Milford have helped our skills improve and grown our hunger for adventure.

After graduating we have continued our passion for kayaking, film making and photography.

The Team

Greg Lee

Mr Lee, raft guide turned New Zealand Kayak School Trainee Instructor. Greg grew up in the outdoors, kayaking and hunting. Greg’s the man that will be on the end of the rope pulling you out!

Greg will always have your back. Along with kayaking he has a passion for photography.

Phil Palzer

Phil spends his New Zealand summer raft guiding in Murchison and takes off to the Northern Hemisphere summer when the temperature starts to drop.
Phil trains hard and often makes kayaking look easy. He is the quite member of the group and brings a down to earth approach to what he does.

Phil is the man behind the Two Dash films.
